What and Who is Covered and for How Long
CertainTeed warrants to the original homeowner/consumer that its Bufftech vinyl fencing, decking and railing products will be free from manufacturing
defects - including peeling, flaking, blistering and corroding - when subject to normal and proper use.
Should any such defect occur during the lifetime of the original purchaser (and as long as the original purchaser is still living and retains ownership of the
property), CertainTeed will repair or replace, at its option, the defective fencing, decking or railing product. Except during the Sure Start™ protection
period, described below, CertainTeed also reserves the right to refund the amount paid by the original owner for the fencing, decking or railing.
CertainTeed shall not be liable or responsible for labor charges or other expenses whatsoever in connection with removal or installation of either the
original or replacement product.
In the event of repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty, the original warranty shall apply to the repaired or replacement fencing, decking or
railing material, and will extend for the balance of the warranty period in effect at the time the material proved defective.
The lifetime coverage offered by this warranty automatically ends upon the sale of the property or death of the last of the original owners of the property
at the time of installation.
The lifetime coverage offered by this warranty is designed to cover individual homeowners only. In the case of fencing, decking or railing material
purchased by, or installed upon property owned by, corporations, governmental agencies, partnerships, trusts, religious organizations, schools,
condominiums or cooperative housing arrangements, or installed on apartment buildings or any other type of building or premises not used by individual
homeowners as their residences, the warranty period will be 30 years following the installation of the fencing, decking, or railing.
Sure Start™ Protection
CertainTeed vinyl fencing, decking and railing products are covered by Sure Start protection for a period of five years following the
date when installation has been completed. Under this warranty feature, CertainTeed, at no charge, will repair or replace, at its option,
any fencing, decking or railing proven to be defective during the five year Sure Start period. CertainTeed's maximum liability under
Sure Start will be equal to the reasonable cost to replace the defective fencing, decking or railing at its current value, including labor.
Limitations
This warranty does not provide protection against any failure, defect or damage caused by situations and events beyond normal exposure conditions,
including but not limited to:
• Misuse, abuse, neglect or improper handling or storage;
• Improper installation or installation not in strict adherence to CertainTeed's written instructions;
• Use of accessories which do not properly receive and/or secure CertainTeed fencing, decking and railing;
• Impact of foreign objects, fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, hail, hurricane, tornado or other casualty or act of God;
• Movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground or structure on which the fencing, decking or railing is installed;
• Any other cause not involving manufacturing defects in the material supplied by CertainTeed.
The fencing, decking and railing is not warranted against discoloration or other damage caused by air pollution (including but not limited to metal oxides
or metallic particles), mildew, exposure to harmful chemicals or normal weathering from the elements.
Normal weathering is defined as exposure to sunlight and extremes of weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored surface to gradually fade,
chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains. The severity of any condition depends on the geographical location of the fencing, decking or railing, the cleanliness
of the air in the area, and many other influences over which CertainTeed has no control.
Notwithstanding anything set forth above, the fencing, decking and railing is warranted against yellowing of the product due to normal weathering from
the elements.
CertainTeed shall have sole discretion to determine, based on reasonable criteria, whether the fencing, decking or railing is suffering from normal
weathering. If the fencing, decking or railing weathers to a degree determined by CertainTeed to be beyond normal, CertainTeed will either repair or
provide replacement material, at its option, for the defective fencing, decking or railing. CertainTeed also reserves the right to refund the amount paid by
the original owner for the fencing, decking or railing material and accessories (but not including the cost of its initial installation).
This warranty does not apply to fencing, decking or railing which has been painted, varnished or coated over the manufacturer's original finish.
CertainTeed reserves the right to discontinue or modify any of its products, including the color, without notice to the homeowner/consumer, nor shall
CertainTeed be liable in the event the replacement material may vary in color or gloss in comparison to the original product as a result of normal
weathering. If CertainTeed replaces any material under this warranty, it may substitute products designated by CertainTeed to be of comparable quality or
price range in the event the product initially installed has been discontinued or modified.

• shipping & return policy

We deliver most items by UPS, larger quantities must be shipped by other carriers. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee a specific date or time of day. You will receive a call from the carrier of your delivery date... this does not apply to UPS delivery though. The customer or their representative must inspect all materials upon delivery.

Any damages or shortages must be reported and written, at the time you sign for your delivery. It is your responsibility to inspect and report this immediately. Any damage reported after delivery must be reported to the carrier. They will then in turn need to inspect the damage. After inspection, a claim must be filed with the carrier. All material will be shipped in good condition from us.

It is the customers responsibility to unload the truck... although this does not apply to UPS deliveries. The driver is only required to move the load to the trucks tailgate. Delivery is driveway only. All deliveries made by common carrier will add a $95.00 up to $150.00 charge to deliver to a residential neighborhood... this will be added to your final bill. If there is a lift-gate available, this would be an extra charge. Prior arrangements would need to be made with the carrier when the customer is initially contacted for delivery schedule.

Any order returned, will be the customers expense for shipping charges back to us. All items must be returned in good condition and in the original container. Before a credit is issued, all material must be inspected, before a refund is issued. Please make sure your full name, address and phone number is included.

Austintown Fence does not ship C.O.D... and all returns must be approved in advance. No custom orders are returnable. No shipping charges are refundable. There is a 35% restocking fee. All orders must be prepaid. We accept Master Card, Visa and Discover. Orders are secure. You will be quoted a total price with shipping charges. Free shipping is applicable for Jerith, Bufftech, and Kingsford products, totally $1450.00 or over. All residential deliveries, that require a lift-gate truck, are charged a Drop-Fee, imposed by the common carrier. However, there are two available ways to "waive" the Drop-Fees. They are as follows: 1. If your product is delivered to a business address, with an available fork-lift to off-load the material. It would be the customer's responsibility to unload the truck. The driver is not authorized to do this. 2. The customer has the option to pickup their order at their local terminal. Again, it is the customers responsibility to load your own order.
The preponderance of the other manufacturers do charge shipping costs, regardless of the amount.
. Delivery on all other orders are based on weight and destination.

Orders cancelled after 48 hrs. are subject to a 15% cancellation fee.

Privacy and Security

When you shop on-line at afencecompany.com, you are shopping on a highly secure site. Afencecompany.com is "anti-spam" and will not use unethical promotional methods. We use "SSL" servers for our e-commerce to ensure the most secure way to shop.*

Your credit card number is only sent via secure encrypted connections, and we do not store customer data where it can be accessed via the Internet. Also, your customer data is considered private and will not be sold or shared with any outside interests.*

Shipping Policy

All BUFFTECH & JERITH orders are subject to a handling fee. This is applied only for freight deliveries to residential addresses. Business addresses, and UPS deliveries are exempt. This is subject to sales being delivered common carrier (residential addresses only), regardless of dollar amount. This charge is also applied for orders that qualify for free shipping, BUFFTECH & JERITH orders only.

Jerith ExpresShip Program

To our valued customers: We at Austintown Fence and our customers rely heavily on carrier services. These carriers are much needed and very appreciated, although sometimes bumps and bangs can happen. To ensure quality delivery, it is necessary that your count of boxes matches the bill of lading. If there are any shortages, it is imperative that this is noted on the paperwork that you are signing for, with the delivery company.

Check all boxes for damage and sign accordingly. If you can't check everything inside, sign "subject to interior inspection". Make sure you keep a copy of this receipt, if a claim has to be made. If there is any damage or shortages delivered through common carrier, the claim needs to be made to the trucking company.

Customers are responsible for filing claims with common carriers. Please do not instruct the carrier to return shipments, or customer will be subject to freight charges and restocking fees. This will not be credited back. All products will leave our
location in good condition.
Make all claims promptly. All damages must be declared within 10 days.

Please note: The following is not included in the ExpressShip program: 4" gate posts, 72" wide gates, Accent or Estate Gates, Ball Caps, and Flexible Wall Mounts. If any of these items are included with your order, this will make your order ineligible under the ExpressShip program.

*Please Note: On orders that produce N/A for shipping charges, the appropriate shipping fees will be calculated and emailed after the order is placed prior to shipment of the order.
